Group Fitness

Solar Springs has a fabulous range of Group Fitness classes. Whether you are an aerobics fanatic or would just like to try and find a class to continue when you return home, our instructors will give you a fantastic workout.

Aquarobics

Join us for a WET and WILD, WOGGLE, WATER WORKOUT!

Aquarobics is exercising in the water with great music to set the pace. It is an excellent all body workout and suitable for everyone - even if you can't swim. After a warm-up, the class may include, a circuit of exercises to strengthen and tone, aqatic dumbells execises, deep water interval training or a wild, woggle workout (if you haven't met a woggle yet you don't know what you're in for!). A cool down and stretch completes this low-impace class. Due to the support of the water this is a great class for participants who are overweight or have slight lower back/leg problems. 

Stretch Class/Stretch and Relaxation Session

Come down to the gym for a revitalising and relaxing session. This class is designed to help you achieve greater flexibility and joint mobility. We start with a gentle warm-up and then take you through a series of static exercises to stretch all the major muscles in your body. Feel your body loosen and tension fade as you finish the session with some guided relaxation in the Stretch and Relaxation Session. A great way to start or finish the day. 

Power bar class

This class ensures your whole body receives a fantastic strength conditioning workout top to toe! Power Bar is a fully choreographed resistance training workout to music using a barbell and weights. Each music track sees a different body part targeted. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced gym goers alike as the participant decides how much weight to place on their bar. An excellent class for osteoporosis prevention, increasing muscle strength and metabolic rate and for weight management. 

Step aerobics

A Step Class involves stepping up, down and over a step to the beat of music and following the instructor's routines. A step class involves a degree of coordination, and routines can be simple or complex. Intensity can be increased by the addition of propulsions, more difficult arm movements, the use of hand weights, or adjusting the step height. The class finishes with a cooldown and stretches. Benefits obtained from participating in a step class include increased cardiovascular fitness, reduction of body fat and improved muscular endurance. You will sweat during these classes!! Step classes are not recommended for those with serious back, hip, knee, ankle or foot complaints.

Circuit class 

In a Circuit class, the instructor moves class participants around a set of 'stations' consisting of exercises using light weights, cardio equipment and/or resistance equipment. Participants stay on each station approx. 45 seconds.  A class designed for all levels of fitness. Don't miss intro - it's important.

Fusion Combo Fitness Class

A Classic Combo Class can be a combination of low impact aerobics, step class, boxing, strength or cardio circuit work and/or floor work accompanied by music. Low Impact Aerobics (LIA) is stepping and walking exercises as opposed to running and jumping. In LIA one foot is almost always on the ground reducing stress to the body.  Floor work consists of a series of floor exercises to tone muscles in the abdominal, hip and thigh areas.A fantastic class for those who like variety.

Body Blade

The Body Blade is a revolutionary piece of exercise equipment, it is a superb tool for rehabilitation or performance training as it can be use in many different environment including muscle conditioning, aerobic and functional stability training. Best of all, the body blade can train your core muscle more effectively than any other exercise tool! 

Blade, Ball and Band

Combines 3 fabulous fitness tools - the fit ball, the body blade and the dyna band for a fantastic stength and conditioning workout

Box Fit

This energetic class teaches you basic boxing tecniques then takes you through a class which includes shadow boxing, foot work and pad work. Gloves are provided so you only have to bring your best Mundene moves.

With strength and courage, the combination of muscle and steel will start an amazing transformation. A new class designed to bring out the most from any body and turn it into an amazingly strong living machine. Using all things bells Kettle Bells, Bar Bells and Dumbbells allow your strength to grow and open up a world of opportunity.
